Case Studies & Testimonials

The impact that The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers programme has had across the globe is fantastic and we would like to share just one of those inspiring stories with you:

Dreaming Big in Guatemala

After 36 years of civil war and a wrecked economy, Guatemala needed to find a way to recapture the optimism of its youth. Together with the Ministry of Education, FranklinCovey consultants taught 7 Habits to 2,500 school teachers in all public and private schools in the country. Eventually 1 million youth will be influenced by the principles embedded in the 7 Habits.

This programme is new to the UK and therefore the impact of the programme for UK Schools is yet to be documented. However teaching professionals who have attended recent accreditation days have said:

I have delivered 3 modules which has gone down very well with my year 10 & 11's so far. The material is very simple to follow and I am surprised at how easy I am finding the contents to deliver in such a short time!

We really enjoyed the training and can't wait to put it into action. Helen Knight

One of the school's in the UK that has embraced the programme is Castleford High School Technology and Sports College...

Labour MP Yvette Cooper recently attended the FranklinCovey WOW event at Leeds United football ground where she, joined by over 250 students from Castleford High School Technology and Sports College, took part in an exciting introduction to the FranklinCovey qualification.

When The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers programme was unveiled at the WOW event, the course had an amazing impact on everyone present. One Year 10 student, George Marchant, commented, “We had to think about ourselves and the affect our actions have on others; it’s common sense but taught in a really interesting way.”

The WOW event brought The 7 Habits course material to life for the Castleford High School students through a series of high-energy activities. The students were challenged to consider their values and what matters to them most, as well as the way in which they respond to others around them.

14 teachers at Castleford High School Technology and Sports College are now accredited to deliver The 7 Habits programme and the school is rolling it out within their PSHE lessons across the whole of Year 10.

Head of PSHE at Castleford High School, Lucy Debrick, commented, “The WOW event was a great way to give the students an introduction to the programme they will be studying over the course of this year. They all got really involved in the day. I think the FranklinCovey programme is a great resource for PSHE - it really gets the students thinking about themselves and how to make better school and life choices.”
