Skills-Knowledge-Behaviour

Apprenticeships have been driving the ambition of our nation in some form for centuries. For the past 40 years, FranklinCovey has been helping organisations achieve results that require a sustainable change in human behaviour. We understand the value of learning that leaves a legacy.

Today, equipped with over 30 customisable, principled-based solutions, such as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, we’re helping providers meet the criteria of new, holistic Standards which demand more of people in an already more demanding, remote world of work.

Engaging  aspirational apprentices and growth-focused employers requires a demonstrable commitment to personal development that is deliverable, sustainable and indicative of the possibilities apprenticeships create. Our intent is to empower that capability and provide bespoke support tailored to your business development and content needs.

“Our powerful partnership with FranklinCovey allows us to use and embed their world-class content into our apprenticeship programmes, creating an exceptional experience for our clients and their learners.”

Jane Henaughan, Commercial Director – Learnmore

We complement, not replace, what you do

FranklinCovey is not a competitor in the Apprenticeship space, but an enabler. As your partner, we would be adding our thought leadership in effectiveness and excellence to your practical expertise. Working with us includes:

01.

BALANCING BEHAVIOURAL DEVELOPMENT WITH TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Our content can help ensure your learners are equipped to implement their knowledge under pressure, in partnership with others and take full ownership of it.

02.

MAINTAINING THE SPEED AND QUALITY OF VIRTUAL DELIVERY

Our digital capability enables agility through live-online or self-directed learning, supported by intuitive tools, award-winning videos and a platform designed to push just-in-time microlearning to learners.

04.

INCREASED LEARNER RETENTION

Attract, energise and retain your learners as a result of both your own time freed up to focus on wellbeing and relevant, world-class resources at hand.

05.

 APPRENTICE WELLBEING

Ensuring apprentice welfare amidst disrupted learning, challenging experiences and uncertain futures is essential. In addition to pastoral care, mentors and tutors need to be equipped with the flexibility, relevant resources and language to empower learners as people first.

06.

IMPACTFUL ‘TOP UP’ CONTENT

Jhana, our microlearning platform, acts as both a virtual mentor for learners and an always accessible and heavily researched resource portal for mentors and assessors.

Empower Apprentices to Access Their Full Potential with the FranklinCovey All Access Pass®

The move from tick box training to embedded learning that sticks is imperative to the success of apprenticeships, but that does not equal increased cost or decreased efficiency.

One price gives your learners unlimited access to all of our world-class content, tools and videos. We have chosen a subscription-based model to allow organisations the opportunity to truly deconstruct what's available and create better aligned solutions. We licence this intellectual property to clients and partners, providing both parties with the flexibility needed to succeed.

According to a 2020 Apprentice Panel Survey carried out by the Institute of Apprenticeships, only 57% of apprentice respondents felt satisfied that their training plans reflected their own individual needs as a learner.

Content Alignment Examples

Stage 1: Content Alignment to Standard Titles

Given the sheer volume of standards currently approved for delivery, and the inconsistency within them, FranklinCovey is in a unique position to offer bespoke support for almost any standard or all-encompassing route by leveraging the breadth and flexibility of our content.

“Paradigms are powerful because they create the lens through which we see the world… If you want small changes in your life, work on your attitude. But if you want big and primary changes, work on your paradigm.”

Dr Stephen R. Covey

The See-Do-Get Cycle

The reason learning or change  often doesn’t stick is because it goes straight to focusing on doing things differently. At the core of our approach is the unshakeable principle that when you change the way you See (mindset or paradigms) things first, it influences what you Do (our behaviour) and in turn what you Get (the results).

A term popularized by our co-founder Dr Stephen Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, paradigms are the lens through which we see the world, interpret experiences and make decisions. Influenced by everything from what we watch on TV to our central beliefs, when this lens is biased, unfair or just false, the See-Do-Get cycle becomes vicious and unproductive. Or, the cycle can be what propels us forward to new heights of effectiveness.

‘Outstanding’ OFSTED Support

According to The Centre for Social Justice August 2020 report, the percentage of providers that were rated “good” or “outstanding” has fallen each year since 2015/16.

The introduction of more holistic Standards placed new demands on providers to assess apprentice behaviour as an indicator of real-life preparedness, yet if, as Ofsted has found, there remains “too much focus on the completion of qualification units, with insufficient focus on developing apprentices’ workplace or wider skills” providers will struggle to earn a top-tier rating.

High performance requires more than sound knowledge, it needs effective mindset shifts and aligned values..but how are you currently demonstrating ‘Outstanding’ commitment to that personal development?

01. THE EDUCATION INSPECTION FRAMEWORK

In making the judgements about a provider’s overall effectiveness, inspectors will make graded judgements on the following areas using the four-point scale:

✓ PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
✓ QUALITY OF EDUCATION
✓ LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
✓ BEHAVIOUR AND ATTITUDES

OVERVIEW

02. HOW FRANKLINCOVEY HELP YOU CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE YOUR INTENT
