Deborah Stanbury
Deborah is an experienced executive and trusted coach with a focus on tangible results at every level.
Deborah commenced her career as a graduate chartered engineer, before joining EY and qualifying as a chartered accountant. At the age of only 29, she became the finance director for Universal’s UK Publishing Division and as her executive leadership role broadened into Europe, so began her interest in the value of people and team development.
Leaving London, to bring up her young family, she developed broader operational and people leadership skills in the SME sector by founding and growing Oxford Children’s Music (OCM). Subsequently accepting an invitation to join the board of Monkey Music, the UK’s leading pre-school education franchise network, as an executive director, in 2011 she developed award winning franchisee training and coaching initiatives that were recognised by the British Franchise Association and HSBC in their annual awards. Combining business experience with coaching skills, she saw an opportunity to engage frontline franchise teams in shared network endeavours. It was a privilege to be part of such transformational behavioural change which delivered unprecedented growth in network wide sales and EBITDA and this led her to further explore the power of effective team and individual coaching.
Having been familiar with FranklinCovey’s material for a number of years, Deborah specialises in delivering behavioural change in service of outcomes and results. Being agile and fluid in her style, she is equally at home in pure strategy execution consulting as she is in team coaching or facilitation of bespoke blended impact journeys, drawing on the depth of FranklinCovey’s material.
As a certified facilitator in 4 Disciplines of Execution, 4 Essential Roles of Leadership, 6 Critical Practices for Leading a Team, Speed of Trust, Unconscious Bias and the seminal 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, amongst other FranklinCovey material, she has worked with a broad range of clients to deliver results or solve issues requiring deep and broad behavioural change. Being determined, focused and results driven, she has a keen eye for return on investment and ensuring the highest value for money for clients.
